I am the original owner and have all original packaging as well as the owners manual for this bad boy. I've enjoyed the services of this excellent piece of equipment for over 20 years. This last July I replaced the lamps at George Meyer AV, a McIntosh authorized service center, and had them give it a thorough check to ensure it is performing 100% to original factory specs. Basically, it is TIP-TOP, and I'm sure it will serve its next owner as well as it has served me. Aesthetically, it is in great condition with a small scratch, not visible from the front, along the back edge of the right side aluminum rail. The binding rails do have some wear, but they are fully functional and will not impede the performance in any way. A few key features followed by specs are listed below. If needed, I can send you a short video clip of it firing up, below are some pics, if there's an angle I didn't include, let me know.
Features:
* 350 watts/channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohm speakers with less than 0.005% distortion
* Full Balanced Circuity from input to output. Each channel consists of two matched power amplifiers operating in push-pull with their outputs combined in a McIntosh Autoformer. The double balanced configuration cancels virtually all distortion.
*Both channels include the patented McIntosh Power Guard circuit that prevents the amplifier from being overdriven into clipping, thereby protecting your speakers.
*Sentry Monitor and Thermal Protection ensuring long life.
*McIntosh designed, patented, and manufactured Output Autoformers.
*Those iconic illuminated Power Meters. Mesmerizing.
Specs:
*Power Output in Stereo: 350 watts into 2, 4 or 8 ohm loads is the minimum sine wave continuous average power output per channel both channels operating.
*Power Output in Mono Parallel: 700 watts into 1, 2 or 4 ohm loads is the minimum sine wave continuous average power output.
*Output Load Impedance: 2, 4 or 8 ohms (Stereo Mode), 1, 2 or 4 ohms (Mono Mode).
*Rated Power Band: 20Hz to 20,000Hz
*Dynamic Headroom: 2.1dB
*Frequency Response: +0, -0.25dB from 20Hz to 20,000Hz, and +0, -3dB from 10Hz to 100,000Hz
*Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.005% maximum at any power level from 250 milliwatts to rated power per channel from 20Hz to 20,000Hz, all channels operating.
*Intermodulation Distortion: 0.005% maximum if instantaneous peak output per channel does not exceed twice the rated output with all channels operating for any combination of frequencies from 20Hz to 20,000Hz.
*Signal To Noise Ratio: (A Weighted) 85dB Unbalanced input (116dB below rated output), 115dB Balanced input (124dB below rated output).
*Sensitivity: 1.9 Volts Unbalanced Input, 3.8 Volts Balanced Input.
*Input Impedance 20,000 ohms Unbalanced, 40,000 ohms Balanced.
*Damping Factor: Greater than 40.
*Weight: 105 pounds (47.63Kg) net, 138 pounds (63Kg) in shipping carton.
If you're a serious numbers dork, here's a nice 2023 video review of the MC352; you can look up a lot about this model and you'll find all of it to be favorable in its praise.
